Supportive Employment participants are members of the community that need a little more support and training in job preparedness and development.
The responsibilities and skills for the position of Job Coach starts with having great interpersonal skills.
Respecting the challenges of your client who may have cognitive or physical disabilities is the most important piece to this position.
If you are patient, understanding and kind, and can articulate steps in a process with clear and concise dialogue you have met the initial requirements for this position.
The skills the Job Coach will mentor to their clients are how to create a resume, job search commitment, interviewing with confidence, how to work together on a team, how to communicate with the supervisor when issues arise, how to manage co-workers supports or issues, how to organize travel arrangements to and from work.
These are just a few examples of responsibilities expected from the Job Coach Employment Specialist.
Experience in the job coaching field is preferred however, CHT will provide on the job training as well as required Division Of Vocational Rehabilitation Job Coach Training.
You must have either 2 years experience in the supportive services field or a degree in Human Services, Social Work or a degree similar.
The hours are flexible and some weekend work may be necessary.
You set your own hours according to your client's schedule.
This position will require drive time to and from meetings with the clients and administrative work will be completed at your home office.
This position will start out as part time as your caseload builds and can move on to full time if desired.

This position will start out with part time hours as the caseload of clients is being built.
Can you work part time for 45 days? You can accept this position as part time only if you choose.
The territory covered by this position is Parker, Centennial, Littleton, Castle Rock and South Aurora.
